Meet your qualified therapist: Jen MacGibbon

Active Massage Therapy Tasmania is owned by Jen MacGibbon who started the business in 2022 after a significant career change from the education sector. Jen is passionate about keeping fit and healthy and so completed a Diploma in Remedial Massage in order to also help others stay as active and healthy as possible.

Jen considers herself fortunate to have been involved with athletics and athletes for 30+ years. As a past athlete who was heavily involved in professional running, Jen has maintained a keen interest in the mechanisms of remedial/sports massage. Over the years she has personally benefitted from the hands of a number of highly skilled remedial massage therapists and this has led her to pursuing a similar career and wanting to pass on such benefits to others. Jen has a strong background in both human biology and psychology. She is keen to support others to be their best and follow their own healthy passions and sports.

Jen has significant experience in working in a highly professional work environment that focuses on being very organised, reliable and delivering positive outcomes for others. Outcomes that focus on enabling others to be the best that they can be. Jen says “I believe that my passion, commitment and professionalism (attitudes and skills that I have gained from years of being an educator) stand me in good stead for assisting in delivering high quality care for clients.”
